Melbourne Indigenous Arts Festival The inaugural Melbourne Indigenous Arts Festival celebrates Melbourne’s rich culture from an exclusively Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective. Delve into Indigenous culture and its influence on the present and future, through a range of artforms. Join music greats Dan Sultan, Casey Donovan, Archie Roach, Troy Casser-Daley and more, as they take to the stage over three days of free celebration. More than music, the festival hosts a diversity of arts experiences for all ages. Visit the Koorie Night Market at the Atrium, be moved by theatre and experience traditional and contemporary dance at Birrarung Marr. Watch the best of black screen at ACMI with Blak Nite Cinema, join the conversation at a public forum, take a stroll through the Indigenous Laneway Commissions and visit Melbourne’s City Gallery. There’s something for everyone. Melbourne Indigenous Arts Festival, celebrating Melbourne’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture with three days of FREE Indigenous theatre, music, literature, film, cabaret, dance and more.
